I’m proud to be ‘just’ a Designer.
I know my strengths, I focus on what I’m good at, and I like to work with others who do the same: the Wordpress Developer, the Copywriter, the SEO specialist.
Working with collaborators who’ve got a history together means you can hit the ground running, safe in the knowledge that they know how to collaborate effectively to get the job done in the best way they know possible.
The Wordpress Developers:
Stomm
About Stomm:
“We are a team of remote developers with a direct, Northern English-style approach to building WordPress websites and web-based integrations.
Our experience spans a variety of clients, including Balfour Beatty, Greater Manchester Youth Network, and Almond Pubs Group. Our builds typically feature a bespoke design (by designers like Laura!), paired with a fully customised WordPress setup using Bricks Builder, Gutenberg, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
This results in a future-proof site that’s easy to manage and update.
We also handle DNS and hosting setups in-house, so we can support the full technical build from start to finish.”
Why I love working with them:
We’ve been working together since 2019.
Aside from their clear technical expertise as Developers, André and Riyad aren’t afraid to say no. They’re not afraid to challenge the client’s idea if they know it’s not the right way to build something.
That’s because their commitment to doing things right and making things easier for the client in the long run is always front of mind.
On top of this, they’re just a pair of super nice guys! They’re compassionate and friendly, and projects are an absolute joy; meetings are as enjoyable as they are productive.
The SHopify Developer:
Dylan Hunt
About Dylan:
“I have been working with Shopify websites for over 10 years.
I started as an employee at Shopify from 2013-2017, and have been a Shopify Expert since leaving.
I work on all aspects of Shopify development, from new site builds to site improvements and new features, and I work closely with apps like Okendo, Rebuy, Klaviyo, and Recharge to help utilize them to optimize stores and help merchants grow.”
Why I love working with him:
He’s Canadian. (Does any more need to be said?!)
OK, ok! We’ve also been working together on retainers and redesigns since 2019.
I feel like Dylan is one of those people who’s able to make any wildcard idea happen!
He’s a realist, mind, and we have a great working process; he’s clear about where there’ll be a time compromise so that we can weigh up effectiveness vs expense.
He’s friendly, efficient, and clients love him!
The SEO Expert:
Matt Kohli
About Matt:
“My team and I can support across most areas of digital, whether that’s strategy, consultancy, or delivery.
Relevant examples include (but aren’t limited to) joining planning calls to make sure SEO and structural elements are considered from the start, reviewing wireframes through a marketing lens, managing site migrations, and writing metadata or on-page content.
Depending on the size of the site and the level of input needed, my involvement can range from a couple of hours to a couple of days.”
Why I love working with him:
Spoiler alert: we haven’t actually collaborated yet.
But I get so many clients searching for an SEO Expert, so I spoke to André at Stomm to see if he had any recommendations.
He said he’s recommend Matt in a heartbeat, so he must be good!
The CopyWriter:
Alison Watt
About Alison:
“Hi! I’m Alison – a curious, creative copywriter with 15+ years’ experience helping brands craft copy that connects. I’ve worked across sectors and time zones, writing everything from emails to brand campaigns. With a background in translation and a multilingual mindset, I bring clarity, nuance and cultural awareness to every project.
I’m also not afraid of using AI to work smarter – as long as the human touch stays centre stage. Great design deserves great copy – that's where I come in!”
Why I love working with her:
She really is one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met. Fluent in three languages - with several more in the works - and an avid traveler, Ali really embodies curiosity.
This trait is everything to me; connecting with curious folk leads to wonderfully unexpected results.
Of course it shows up in her work: she really gets under the skin of a brief before jumping in, and asks thoughtful questions.
But more than anything else, it makes working with her a very energising experience. I highly recommend it!
The Content writer:
India Hendrikse
About India:
“Hi, I’m India – a copywriter working remotely from a tiny surf town in Aotearoa New Zealand (thankfully, the Internet reaches us down here). I work exclusively with brands trying to make positive change for people, the environment, and all the creatures we share our precious planet with. I’m highly skilled in writing for websites, campaigns, and social media, and I carve out effective tone of voice and communication strategies that help you connect with your audience.
My portfolio spans storytelling for Oatly’s global barista magazine, finessing a brand-new partnership for Hyrox and High Impact Athletes, writing case studies for ThinkPlace and Synergy Group, social media management for perinatal distress charity Little Shadow, and communication strategy work for animal rights charity, SAFE.”
Why I love working with her:
India and I met at a co-working space in New Zealand, and right from the get go I knew I wanted us to collaborate!
She’s got a very unique personal style, yet absolutely oozes sweetness, empathy and dedication, and all of this really shows up in her work.
Each time we collaborate, I know that I can count on her to turn on the magic and create captivating, hard-working copy, and clients have never not been delighted.
With a mix of really interesting clients under her belt (from e-commerce through to pure play journalism), she’s got a lot of experience to draw from.
The Analyst:
Jimmy Montgomery
About Jimmy:
“I work with digital teams to figure out what’s really going on — from user behaviour to product performance to experimentation strategy.
I’ve worked with brands like Vans, The North Face, and bol.com, but I’m most energised when collaborating closely with fast-moving teams on early-stage discovery and growth.”
Why I love working with him:
Jimmy makes everything feel so easy. (We’ve been working together since 2016, so I’m sure that helps!)
I often reach out to him when trying to understand the top level challenges that a new e-commerce client is facing, but he’s also amazing to lean on for really nitty gritty briefs, too.
Clear communication, he’s never missed a deadline, and the work itself is absolute gold. What’s not to love?!
